Brie en Croute

A delicious cheesy dessert made with brie and raspberry preserve baked in puff pastry.

Ingredients
500 gm
brie
1
puff pastry sheet, frozen
raspberry preserves
1
egg yolk
15 ml
water
Method
  1. Lay puff pasty on smooth surface.
  2. Place a few spoons of raspberry preserves in the center of the pastry.
  3. Place Brie centered on preserves.
  4. Wrap pastry in a pinwheel fashion to fully enclose brie.
  5. Carefully invert Brie so that folded side is down and place on baking sheet.
  6. Whisk egg yolk and water, using a brush, apply a thin layer to the entire outside of the dough.
  7. Place brie into 200 °C oven for approximately 25-30 minutes or until pastry is a rich golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for at least 30 minutes.
  9. Place on tray and enjoy.
